The government claims that vaccines are not harmful, so why are there federal trust funds allocated for those injured by vaccines?
Years ago, the federal government set up a trust containing funds earmarked for those injured by vaccines. The fund, known as the Vaccine Injury Compensation Trust Fund, is seen by many as government confirmation that vaccines do indeed cause physical harm to children and adults – and victims should be compensated accordingly. As one congressman recently asserted, there may be more to the story than meets the eye (and the media).
Much has been said over the past decade about a possible link between vaccines and the development of autism in children. While fiercely debated, the polarizing issue is one worth exploring, according to U.S. Congressman Bill Posey, who recently voiced his concerns to the House of Representatives. More specifically, Rep. Posey expressed the belief that the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) may have intentionally altered the results of a vaccine study to cover up data showing a positive correlation between the autism and vaccines.
Also worth noting, a senior epidemiologist recently admitted that he assisted the CDC in covering up data tending to show a relationship between the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine and autism. In that study, the CDC asserted that there was no link found between MMR and the condition, but the researcher contended that the actual results showed a correlation of up to 69 percent.
In a statement, the Congressman declared “I am absolutely, resolutely pro-vaccine…advancements in immunization have saved countless lives and have greatly benefited public health….That being said….it’s troubling to me that in a recent Senate hearing on childhood vaccination, it was never mentioned that our government has paid out over $3 billion dollars through a vaccine injury compensation program for children who have been injured by vaccinations.” Congressman Posey further entered into the record a statement by the former CDC researcher that the authors of the study “all met and brought a big garbage can into the meeting room, and reviewed and went through all the hardcopy documents that [they] thought we should discard, and put them into a huge garbage can.”
